Boutique Interior design studio in West London crafting refined interiors and meaningful stories for London homes and boutique retail spaces – places created to be lived in, loved, and remembered

WELCOME TO KANDO STUDIO

A boutique interior studio in west London, crafting individual and soulful spaces.

We create characterful interiors for residential and retail clients across London and beyond. Our design approach blends creativity, strategy, and craftsmanship, to deliver spaces that are both beautiful and built to last. From distinctive homes to inspiring boutique retail spaces, we design interiors that spark joy, express individuality, and connect with the people who experience them.

OUR PROCESS

Designing the dialogue

We design spaces by watching how people live, work—how they move, pause, gather, and retreat.

In homes, shops, and the everyday spaces we pass through, the shape of a room, the touch of a material, or the way light falls can shape how we feel long before we notice. Our focus is on atmosphere, proportion, colour, and the quiet decisions that make a space feel alive, not staged.

Our work spans residential and retail interiors, but the approach is the same: we begin with people, not trends. By observing, listening, and understanding what brings comfort, energy, and expression, we create interiors that feel human, considered, and expressive.

We are drawn to colour with intention, to contrast over coordination, and to objects that carry character instead of polish. New and familiar elements coexist to create balance, warmth, and ease.

Good interiors can be striking without shouting. They make their presence felt through thought, not excess, and evolve as life and routines shift.

This studio is for clients who value feeling over finish—spaces that reflect who they are, not what’s current. Whether a home to truly live in, or a space to move through and experience, our work is deliberate, confident, and alive.

SUCCESS STORY

"Fariba transformed our ideas into a uniquely beautiful design that continues to impress everyone who visits."

“It was amazing to work with Fariba on my project. She brought with her a wealth of ideas and her personal intuition for layout, space and texture meant that we could create something truly unique. Fariba was able to take my brief and initial thoughts, some conceptual and some not so conceptual, and incorporate them all into an elevated finished design. During the build process, she was very hands on with the team and it was clear that she was working to a very high standard with great attention to detail. Now that we are open, we constantly getting compliments on the design of our store and we could not have accomplished this without Fariba.”
