In 2021 PLATFORM store acquired a prim location at St Christopher Place to do a pop up store in short turn around of two weeks.
The store used to belong to shoe brand, Kurt Geiger. The architectural features such as arched ceiling is part of the original store, and also the red counter, and extensive mirrors all around the shop.
Considering the time we had on hand to fit out the store for opening, we had keep many of the features and work around them.
The huge amount of mirror usage would be quite disturbing for future clients as well staff working long hours there.
We opted to hide them with extensive use of curtains and only kept some that would benefit the new store.
The store was to present fashion, home and art brands and as fashion was the main focus of the business we allocated the entire ground floor to clothing and fashion accessories. We designed the cloths rails and bespoke shelving system built on site that could be adopted to their needs.
As their previous store the main floor space was occupied with tables that could be rearranged to their every changing needs.
The raised ground floor was occupied by brands doing home accessories and art.
