Brief – To curate and design a pop-up store for a multi-brand store, PLATFORM.

In April 2018, PLATFORM took over the lease of the shop located at 36 Marylebone High Street. Their objective was to design a space that would effectively showcase the work of over 20 fashion and fashion accessories designers for a period of three months. Kando Studio was tasked with designing and fitting out the store within a tight one-week time frame.

The original features of the store, including exposed brick walls, steel beams, and wooden flooring, were highly valued and thus preserved in the new design. The floor plan was divided into three rooms leading into each other, ensuring a natural flow for customers.

To accommodate the pop-up nature of the store, We opted for freestanding display tables, which could easily be customised as per the store’s requirements. Additionally, fixed-to-wall displays were added to the only plastered and painted wall in the store. The store was equipped with changing rooms and lighting to enhance functionality and ensure a user-friendly shopping experience.

The space was not only visually appealing and engaging, but also highly practical, providing an exceptional shopping experience for customers.
