Cecil Touchan, a painter and a collage master. His visual poetry is created from found texts found in spam emails, billboards and posters. They are then deconstructed and re-assembled to create a visual collage that will be re-created as painting in trompe l’oeil technique. Cecil Touchon’s seemingly random and abstract collages liberate the language from only being a tool for passing corporate massages and allow them to exist and appreciated for their visual poetry.
His compositions are meticulous and harmonious, each reflecting to his life and the culture that surrounds him. He has managed to bridge art and poetry.
Touchon is the founder and director of the International Museum of Collage, Assemblage and Construction and co-founder of the International Post-Dogmatist Group.
